THREE knife-wielding suspects ganged up on two laborers, killing one of them and wounding the other, before dawn Thursday in Quezon City.

Killed was Teddy Brasil, 22, while his friend Melvin Paje, 32, sustained a cut in the hand.

Case investigator PO2 Hermogenes Capili said three men allegedly ganged up on the victims on Buenamar Street in Bgy. Nova Proper.

The identities of the suspects and the motive behind the knife assault are still being determined by police probers, Capili said.

Witnesses said the two men were walking near the neighborhood plaza at around 12:20 a.m. when the assailants approached suddenly stabbed them.

The suspects quickly fled when the two victims fell down.

Brasil and Paje managed to get up again and run back to the construction site barracks where their co-worker brought them to the hospital. Brasil died while undergoing treatment.
