A KOREAN national and two construction workers were wounded in separate stabbing incidents in Cebu and Lapu-Lapu cities.

Bae Keon Woo, 29, was stabbed in the abdomen by fellow Korean Kim Sung Su. Bae after they argued in a drinking session around 2 a.m. yesterday near a resort in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.

Bae fled after the incident.

Woo was rushed to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital.

Police said the two Koreans were already drunk when they started arguing over a still unknown reason.

In sitio Upper Mahiga, barangay Banilad, Cebu City, Santiago Ramos, 31, and Hemersendo Gabato, 39, were wounded when they were attacked by two neighbors at 11 p.m. on Saturday night.

Police said Ramos and Gabato were drinking in front of a neighbor’s house, Maximo Gabato, when Roel Archibal and Tata Bonsobre passed by.

PO2 Jodan Batucan, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office, said Bonsobre approached the two men having a drinking session and confronted Ramos over a previous grudge.

Ramos and Bonsobre argued.

Hemersendo pacified the two men but Archibal hit him with a rock.

Ramos tried to stop the mauling but Archibal stabbed him several times, said police.

Ramos and Hermesendo were rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

Operations to arrest Archibal and Bonsobre are on going, said police. /CORRESPODNENT JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
