Progress report on the shooting incident, which that took place at Barangay Lower Calarian, Zamboanga City at around 10:45 AM, July 4, 2013, wherein, the victim was PO3 Hussin Mushin y Dambong, 46 yrs old, married, assigned with PAC, Sacol Island, Zamboanga City Police Station 4, Culianan and a resident of Barangay Lower Calarian.

 
Victim was shot by unidentified suspect/s with the use of Caliber 45 Pistol based on the seven (7) spent shells and two (2) deformed slugs of same caliber recovered at the crime scene.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his body and was rushed to Brent Hospital for medical treatment, but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed, that prior to the incident, victim came from Zamboanga City Police Office and on his way home on board his single motorcycle.
Upon reaching Madison Drive, Barangay Lower Calarian, he was shot by the suspect/s.
Suspect took the victim’s service firearm, 9MM Caliber Pistol and immediately fled towards the inner portion of the said barangay.
Deeper investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Detective Management, Zamboanga City Police Office to determine the motive and identity of the suspect.
