Zamboanga City – December 20, 2010 One of the Kagawad of Barangay Balas Lamitan Basilan Province with his son who happened to be in Zamboanga last Thursday were a victims of Gun-attacked in a broad daylight near city hall along P. Lorenzo St. this city.
The victims identified as Ibno Akmaed of legal age, married, and presently Barangay Kagawad of Balas, Lamitan was seriously wounded while his son Benhur, 18 years old was pronounced dead by the attending physician of the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC)
Initial report said that the duo were walking along the area when two motorcycle blocked their way and shot them both using a .45 caliber pistol.
The suspect was arrested identified as Marl Sajikan Y Dankaan, 21 years old and a companion named Ben who managed to escape the two are native of Siasi Sulu, and temporarily residing at Margarita San Roque this
Sajikan is presently detained at the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) detention cell.
Zamboanga City Police Acting Chief S/Supt. Edwin de Ocampo disclosed that this incident had something to do with personal grudge, although we are not discounting other possible motive.
The case is now under investigation with follow-up operation for the arrest of other perpetrators.
