Chief Insp Ramil Cabanban Agbunag, OIC, identified the victim as Gary Hernandez, 33, married, of Bgy. Poblacion 2, Calaca, and the suspects only as “Ruben” and his companion.

Case officers PO2 Argel Joseph Amo Noche and PO1 Marlou Alcantara Diomampo said they received a telephone call at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday from a concerned citizen informing that a shooting incident was ongoing in the area.

A team led by Agbunag immediately proceeded to the place. 

The victim was resting on a net swing at the garage when two unidentified men  riding on Mio motorcycle without license plate stopped nearby.

Moments later, the back rider alighted and shot the victim several times. The suspects quickly fled.

The victim was brought to Don Juan Mayuga Provincial Hospital in Lemery, Batangas where he was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, Dr. Ramon Sixto Castillo.

Responding team of SOCO, BPPO recovered four  fired cartridge cases and three deformed slugs  for cal. .45 pistol.
