A JAPANESE tourist lost nearly half-a-million pesos to riding-in-tandem suspects while he was in Ermita, Manila the other night.
In his complaint lodged before the Manila Police District-General Assignment Section (MPD-GAS), victim Takuya Katsuyama, 35, presently staying at the Pearl Garden Hotel in Ermita, said the incident took place at around 9 p.m. at the corner of Pedro Gil Avenue and Roxas Boulevard.
The victim said he was walking in the area when two men on board a motorcycle snatched his bag which contained his gadgets and money and then sped away.
Katsuyama said there was no police in the area from whom he could ask for help when the incident happened.
