AN Indian trader was shot dead by unidentified suspects who tried to rob him the other night in San Pablo City, Laguna.

The victim, who was declared dead on arrival at the Panlalawigang Pagamutan ng Laguna, was identified as Sonil Singh, of City Subdivision, IB, San Pablo City.

According to Laguna police director Senior Supt. Pascual Munoz Jr., the incident occurred at around 6:52 p.m. in Barleta subdivision, Bgy. VI-E.

Initial investigation revealed that the victim was walking on his way home when armed men approached him and asked for his wallet.

The victim refused, prompting the latter to shot him several times that caused his death.

After the incident, the suspects grabbed the victim’s wallet, cellphone and jewelries and fled
