AN INDIAN trader was abducted by a group of armed men in front of his home in Pasig City on Monday night. Kasmir Singh, 42, an Indian national residing in Doña Juana Subdivision, Barangay (village) Santolan, was snatched at gunpoint by four men in a white van, said Superintendent Emmanuel Tabuena, chief of the Eastern Police District’s community relations. Tabuena said the victim’s wife alerted the police after she saw him being dragged into a vehicle with plate number CLJ 925. He said the wife tried to stop the van which crashed into a post but still managed to speed off. The getaway vehicle was later seen parked in front of a fast food chain on Julia Vargas Street Pasig City. The police recovered a .38 cal. revolver with bullets, a kitchen knife, three pairs of shoes, one of them owned by the victim, and two T-shirts stained with blood. Niña Calleja
