TAAL, Batangas — Authorities of this town seized some illegal drugs during the implementation of a search warrant in Bgy. Balisong, the other day.

Police director Senior Supt Omega Jireh Deocares Fidel identified the suspect as  David Reniel Montenegro  aka “Kwatog,” of Bgy. Balisong, Taal, Batangas.

Investigators  PO3 Melvin Ricalde and PO2 Mafriel Benedicto Magpantay said around   3 p.m. of the other day, elements of Taal MPS led by PSI Norman Aba-Eo-Cas-oy  implemented a search warrant   issued by Judge Juanita G. Areta of RTC Branch 86, Taal, Batangas.

During the operation, the police recovered eight pieces of used aluminum foils, two pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu, three pieces of lighters  and one  piece of improvised tooter placed in a transparent plastic inside the suspect’s rented room.

The operation was witnessed by Cecilio Reyes, Bgy. Captain, and chief tanod Ricardo Agojo  of bgy. balisong, Taal; Onofre Tenorio, media representative and Mrs. Madona Banawa, apartment owner.

Pertinent papers are being prepared for filing appropriate charges in violation of RA 9165 against the suspect who still at large.      Jojo C. Magsombol
