SHOCKED on seeing his daughter maltreated, a television technician stabbed his wife to stop her from beating their daughter Sunday night in Caloocan City.

Alfred Ramote, 31, of Bgy. 171, Bagumbong, Caloocan City, admitted the accusation but stressed that he was forced to do it to stop his wife Russel Joy, 31, from severely abusing their eldest daughter Rossel, 10.

The incident happened inside the Ramote’s house around 9:30 p.m. Rossel explained she went upstairs and prepared their bed while she waited for her younger brother to finish his dinner.

For unknown reason, her mom stormed into their room, pulled her hair and dragged her downstairs. Not contented, her mom pushed her face to the table.

Alfred, who was then repairing a TV, heard her daughter scream  and rushed to the house still holding a soldering iron.

Stunned by his wife’s cruelty, he stabbed her with the soldering iron in the left shoulder. Alfred was shocked from what he did, dropped the tool and rushed Russel to a nearby hospital.

Russel Joy charged her husband with frustrated parricide while the latter filed   counter charges of violation of RA 7610 or Child Abuse.
