MANILA, Philippines – A housemaid was stabbed by two suspects in Jaro, Iloilo City on Sunday morning.

According to her employers, which authorities declined to name, Amy Lacupa, 32, went out of the house to do the laundry when she was attacked by unidentified assailants. Lacupa had surprised the two suspects, who had entered the perimeter of her employers’ property.

When Lacupa called out for help, the attackers fled. They left a black jacket at the scene, police said.

The house was reportedly owned by the in-laws of Chief Inspector Alexander Rosales, La Paz police chief.

Rosales refused to comment on the matter pending further investigation.

Lacupa was brought to hospital for treatment. – From a report by Noella Gamayon, ABS-CBN News Iloilo
