Police have forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office a case of robbery-holdup against a man who was arrested after he robbed a pedestrian at Pettit Barracks the other day.
A police report said the victim, Freshel Leonardo, executed a sworn statement pointing to Elpha Unok as the holdupper.
Unok, who was taken to the City Prosecutor Office, availed of the 15-day waiver and was detained again at the central police office.
Leonardo was walking at Pettit Barracks around 12 noon when Unok who was armed with a pair of pliers threatened her and took her cellular phone then fled towards Sta. Barbara.
The incident caught the attention of PO1 Ronald Lorete who ran after Unok, who was nabbed him near the LTO compound.
Recovered from Unok’s possession was the pliers, scissors and wallet.
