MANILA, Philippines – Police on Tuesday recovered a van containing toiletries that was earlier reported hijacked and arrested four suspects in the process, a police official said.
The Isuzu closed van containing goods from Colgate-Palmolive was recovered along Mendiola Extension in Paco, Manila by operatives of the Pandacan Police Station and District Mobile Police Unit, said Chief Superintendent Nicanor Bartolome, National Capital Region Police Office director.
The van was reported missing by Fastcargo Logistic Corporation and with the aid of a global positioning system (GPS) installed in the vehicle, police were able to track it down.
Upon arriving at the location, police spotted four suspects unloading contents of the van and transferring them to an Isuzu Elf truck
Bartolome said the suspects were arrested after they failed to present documents to prove the legitimacy of their activity. The four suspects were identified as Christian Candelario, Paulo Izumi, Rogelio Temporasa, and Ruel Flores.
Meanwhile, Joven Dela Cruz, the driver of the Isuzu closed van, is still missing.
