On or about 9:15 PM August 27, 2013, along the road of Barangay Nasibac, Leon B Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte, a hacking incident transpired wherein one Rizaldy Caberte, 46 years old, and married was hacked by Randy Cadiz y Sines, 31 years old, married and both residents of said place.

 
Initial investigation conducted by elements of Leon B Postigo Police Station disclosed that according to the brother of the suspect who was a Barangay Tanod of said place, both victim and suspect were under the influence of liquor and while on their way home, the suspect hacked the victim with the use of scythe.
Victim sustained three hacked wounds on his head.
After the incident, the suspect fled towards unknown direction while the victim was brought to Rural Health Unit, Leon B Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte and further forwarded to Sindangan District Hospital for further medical treatment.
Elements of Leon B Postigo Police Station are now conducting manhunt operation to arrest the suspect while appropriate charges are now being prepared for filing in court.
Motive of the incident is still to be determined.
