Police identified the fatality as Aljie Diani y Kalayakan, 29, married of Villa Margarita, Southcom Village, Upper Calarian. He sustained a gunshot wound in the nape with the bullet exiting his cheek near the nose. He died on the spot.

A police report disclosed that Diani was seen at 11 p.m. by some residents of Baliwasan Grande particularly at Ilang-Ilang Drive taking two male passengers aboard a Honda Wave 125 cc.

Moments later, they heard a shot, then saw Diani on the ground while one of the two passengers was still tucking his pistol in the waist. Gis companion drove the victim’s motorcycle.

Recovered from the crime scene was one spent shell of .45 caliber pistol.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo and his men were investigating the case.
