HABAL DRIVER KILLED

A 32-YEAR-OLD habal-habal driver was shot and killed by unidentified assailants in barangay Matab-ang, Toledo City, southwest Cebu.

Edwin Igot succumbed to a gunshot wound in the back.

Igot was driving home when he was waylaid around 9 p.m. last Friday, SPO4 Carmelito Hornales of Toledo police.

Although wounded, Igot was still able to continue driving and sought help from fellow habal-habal drivers.

The victim was brought to Balamban District Hospital but the attending doctor  declared him dead./ Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
