A security officer of Platinum Group Metal Corporation (PGMC) based in Brgy. Cagdianao, Claver, Surigao del Norte was shot to death by unidentified suspects around 4:30 in the afternoon along the National Highway, Brgy. Cagdianao of the said town, police reports said.

MSGT Eduardo Tejada Tapican, 61 years old, a native of Makato, Aklan, temporarily residing at PGMC Compound, a retired member of the Philippine Army, who was also designated as the Intelligence and Operation Officer of the said firm was jogging along the National Highway when undetermined number of armed suspects appeared and immediately shot him several times.

Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different part s of his body that resulted in his instantaneous death.

Recovered from the crime scene were seven (7) pieces of fired cartridge of caliber .45 pistol.

Motive is yet to be determined. In depth investigation is underway to identify the culprits, police reports said.
