A BUSINESSMAN was held up and robbed of P3 million by motorcycle riding in tandem gunmen in an east coast village in Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday.
The Zamboanga City Police Office reported that the incident took place around 7:20 p.m. Monday in the village of Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City.
The ZCPO identified the victim as Joseph Aceberos, who is into money changing business in this city.
Aceberos, who owns the Jet 23 Money Changer shop, told the police the suspects took his black pack containing P3-million cash different denomination, both Philippine and foreign currency, at gunpoint just after he disembarked from his vehicle when he arrived home.
The motorcycle riding suspect sped off towards the village of Mampang, seven kilometers east of this city, bringing with them the loot, the police said.
A thorough investigation is being conducted over the incident to unmask the suspect, the police said.
