MEYCAUAYAN City — A motorcycle-riding Indian was killed while a 60-year-old passerby was injured when shot by motorcycle-riding assailants on Bulac Road, Bgy. Malhacan, here, Sunday morning.

Gurjant Sing, 36, of 18 Moises St., Metrogate Complex, Bgy. Pandayan, Meycauayan City, was declared dead on arrival at Montefalco Hospital in Bgy. Malhacan due to gunshot wounds in different parts of his body. Jose Cipriano, laborer, of 156 Bulac Street, Bgy. Malhacan, who was passing the place on a bicycle, was hit by a stray bullet in the left thigh.

Police said that at about  9:15 a.m,  the Indian national was traversing Bulac Road on a Red Mitsukoshi Sym motorcycle (4021 OM) when two unidentified men on board a unknown make of motorcycle suddenly appeared beside the victim. The backrider shot the victim several times.

After the incident, the suspects fled towards the Malhacan Tollgate.

A team from Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office recovered two spent shells for cal. .45 and the motorcycle of the victim.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine the suspects’ identities and the motive behind the gun attack.
