MABALACAT City, Pampanga — A dismissed policeman was killed while an employee of the Angeles City government is in critical condition at the hospital after they were shot separately by unidentified gunmen here last March 13 and 19.
Darwin David, 40, a policeman who was dismissed due to absence without leave, was gunned down inside a canteen in Bgy. Lakandula at around 7:40 p.m. last March 13. He died from two gunshot wounds in the chest from a cal. .45 pistol.
Dennis Soto, 43, a radio operator of Angeles City Hall and resident of Bgy. Dau, was shot along MacArthur Highway in Dau at around 10:30 p.m. He is still in critical condition in a hospital as of press time.
Senior Insp. Jonathan Robert Rongavilla said they are investigating if the shooting of Soto was drug-related after a plastic sachet of shabu was recovered from where he was shot. It was also learned that Soto and David were friends.
Meanwhile, two suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Xevera Subd., Bgy. Tabun and in Bgy. Dau last March 19 and 20.
