CAMP VICENTE LIM—A security guard was found killed inside a commercial bank in San Pablo City, Laguna last Saturday.

San Pablo City police chief Ferdinand de Castro identified the victim as Alexis Caibigan, guard of Banco De Oro (BDO) branch along Rizal Avenue at the city’s town proper.
 
De Castro said Caibigan sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. His body was found inside the employee’s dressing room last Saturday at 8:30 am.
 
An incoming duty guard first informed the police after noticing that the bank’s front doors were locked from the outside.
 
“Our theory is that the victim may have known the gunman and probably let him in. Evidence also showed that the target was the guard and not to rob the bank,” de Castro told reporters.

The police chief said there were no signs of forced entry in the bank and the bank’s cash vault had remained intact. He said the bank’s CCTV camera was stolen along with Caibigan’s caliber 38 pistol and a shot gun.
 
Probers are now investigating the incident.
