A security guard was gunned down on board his motorcycle on his way home in Quezon City Sunday night.

Investigator PO2 Hermogenes Capili identified the victim as Tadeo Talana, 33, a security guard assigned at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Capili, of Novaliches, Quezon City, said the victim died following a shooting incident that took place at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday along EDSA near a gate of the Corinthian Gardens in Bgy. Ugong.

The victim was rushed by rescuers from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to the Medical City Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Capili said the victim sustained a gunshot wounds below his right ear, chest and abdomen.

He said the victim was believed to have been shot at close range since the gunshot wounds showed signs of tattooing or powder burns.

In the meantime, Capili said that they have yet to get a witness who saw the actual shooting incident.

Hopefully, they could find a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage of the crime in the area, he said.

The investigator said  the victim was believed on his way home from the ADB on board his Kawasaki motorcycle (6657-XS) when the shooting took place.

In spite of his wounds, Corinthian Gardens security guards told police that the victim managed to still run up to the gate and asked that he be brought to the hospital because he got shot.

A MMDA rescue team brought the victim to the hospital.
