MANILA – A security guard and his girlfriend were shot dead in Cagayan de Oro City on Thursday morning.
The victims, identified as Noel Duriga Japon and Anafe Lara, were caught having sex by another security guard, Danillo Bustillo, inside an abandoned building in Barangay Cugman at 12:45 a.m.
Bustillo, a security guard of a branch of the Land Bank of the Philippines, claimed he only shot Japon after the latter attempted to draw his gun out and shoot him. He said it was not his intention to shoot Lara.
Bustillo surrendered to the police after the incident.
He is facing double homicide charges.
