A DAY after receiving a text message warning him to stop his illicit affair with a married woman, a bank security guard was shot dead by an unidentified assassin yesterday in Quezon City.

Randy Villareal, 33, died instantly from multiple gunshot wounds.

Case officer PO2 Jogene Hernandez said Villareal was walking at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Danggay Street in Barangay Veteran’s Village when the motorcycle-riding suspect shot him at close range.

Hernandez said that prior to the killing, Villareal reportedly received a text message from an unidentified sender warning him to stop his affair with a married woman.

“Binabalaan kita, huwag kang tatalo ng may asawa, taga-Bgy. Pinyahan ka lang, kaya kitang hanapin,” the message read.
