A government employee was killed and his companion was wounded in a gun attack along the highway in Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay last Monday night.
Killed was Jefferson Alsuares, 35, married, of Kabasalan. He succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head. His companion, Jong-Jong Galor, 26, single, was wounded in the leg.
A police report said that Alsuares and Galor were on their way to Pagadian City aboard a Honda XRM about 6:30 p.m. when an XLR 200 motorcycle sidled up and the back rider opened fire on them.
The gunmen escaped towards Imelda municipality.
Investigators believe the motive behind the attack was personal dispute, while gunmen’s identity and their whereabouts are yet to be established.
