Source: Good Samaritan stabbed dead

FOR extending a helping hand to a snatching victim, a 29 year-old man was stabbed dead while his friend got injured when the snatcher turned his ire on them Tuesday night in Quezon City.

Case officer PO2 Joselito Gagaza said Sedrick Vinoya, 29, of 629 Grapas St., Barangay Commonwealth, was declared dead on arrival at the General Malvar Hospital due to stab wounds in the chest and abdomen. Wounded was Harold Meniel.

Reports said that Vinoya and Meniel were inside the house at 10 p.m. when they heard Maria Arlene Lorenzo shouting for help because an unidentified man snatched her bag.

They immediately chased the suspect and cornered him on Mango Street, Barangay Commonwealth. However, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed them one after the other.
