MANILA, Philippines – A price war over chevon (goat meat) led one vendor to stab dead another at a meat shop Friday night in Quezon City.
Senior Police Officer 2 Neil Garnace said Jimbo Torrico, 27, died from two deep stab wounds in the back.
Torrico’s alleged assailant, identified only as a “Jonjon,” fled soon after the incident, which happened at around 7:30 p.m. along Commonwealth Avenue. Both victim and suspect sold goat meat and also worked as butchers for the Jun Liit Goat Meat Shop, where the stabbing occurred.
The STAR gathered that the suspect resented Torrico’s selling his goat meat at P220
