NEIGHBORS heard the ear-splitting shouting matches. These were followed by disturbing thuds, then “aaarrrggghs!” Little did they know that these were the dying sounds of a husband and wife who had just been stabbed repeatedly by their 16-year-old daughter, Elma.
Elma (not her real name) also attacked her younger sister Nita, 12, who is now undergoing treatment at a hospital for multiple stab wounds. The stabbing incident occurred 2 a.m. yesterday inside the family home in Tupi, South Cotabato.
Killed were Ronilo Castromayor, 46, and his wife Henarlie, 43, both residents of Sitio Maunlad, Bgy. Balolmala, Tupi, South Cotabato.
Initial investigation showed neighbors heard members of the Castromayor family shouting at each other.
The neighbors ignored the sounds, thinking that the family members were just quarreling.
The couple were declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Nita is still in critical condition.
