Girl abducted, raped by suitor

MABALACAT, Pampanga – Sixteen-year-old Lea (not her real name) was on her way to the community high school in Barangay Dau at 6:30 a.m. when her suitor abducted and raped her.
After raping her inside a motel, the suspect identified as Reyan Velasco Ipiniano, 18, forced Lea to go with him to Barangay Deura, Bayambang, Pangasinan where her ordeal continued until she was rescued Wednesday.
“Noong March 19 sinakay po niya ako ng tricycle at dinala sa hotel. Nakiusap po ako sa kanya ngunit ayaw po niya akong pakinggan at sinabihan po ako na pag tumakas po ako may mangyayari sa buhay ko,” the victim said.
Supt. Rolly Mendoza, police officer-in-charge here, said the suspect was arrested by policemen with the help of the municipal social welfare office.
On March 24, Lea found an opportunity to text her mother who sought the help of social workers and policemen.
Municipal social welfare officer Lapurisima Gomez and a police team coordinated with Deura and police officials and rescued Lea.
Ipiniano hid Lea in the middle of the corn field but later decided to surrender. He was charged with forcible abduction and rape in relation to RA 7610, with no bail recommended. Bernard Galang
