A five-year-old girl suffered injuries on her private part and had to be confined in a hospital in Quezon City after she was allegedly raped by the live-in partner of her grandmother.

The victim Angel (not her real name) is still confined at the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) due to vaginal bleeding.

Investigator SPO3 Rosemarie Sy said the suspect, identified as Allan Lugarta, 27, was arrested inside his home in Bgy. San Agustin, Novaliches, Quezon City, Saturday morning.

Lugarta is reportedly much younger than Angel’s grandmother.

Sy learned that the rape took place at around 5 p.m. Wednesday, while the victim, along with her younger sister, her grandmother and the suspect, was inside their home.

Lugarta had asked his live-in-partner to go to the store to buy something.

After the the victim’s grandmother left, Lugarta took Angel into one of the rooms and started raping her against her will.

Before the victim’s grandmother got back, Lugarta threatened Angel not to tell anyone about what had happened.

Angel’s grandmother noticed the bleeding on the victim when she got back to the store.

Eventually, Angel was to the hospital because of the continuous bleeding.

However, it was only after three days at the hospital that Angel told her family what had happened to her.
