A 36-year-old gay was killed by a still unidentified gunman who shot him in the chest yesterday morning in Port Area, Manila.

Victim Daruis Lachica, of Lot 51 Baseco Compound, Port Area, was killed at around 10:15 a.m. along  Block 11 of the said compound.

SPO1 Charles John Duran, of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section, said before the incident, a female resident hear a gunshot but ignored it.

However, when she came out to throw her garbage, she saw the victim dead and lying on a pool of blood, prompting her to ask help from the male residents on standby in the area.

Police are investigating the case to establish the killer’s identity and the motive behind the crime.
