AN alleged member of the dreaded ‘Commando Gang’ was shot dead inside a pedicab yesterday morning in Tondo, Manila.

Sonny Austria, 37, of 1204 Barcelona Ext., Tondo, Manila, died on the spot while the gunman remains unidentified.

Investigation made by SPO2 Milbert Balinggan of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the incident happened at 3:45 a.m. near the victim’s house.

Reportedly, the victim was inside a pedicab and was about to go home when the lone suspect appeared from nowhere and shot him in the head once, at close range.

An investigation is underway to determine the motive for the killing and establish the suspect’s identity.
