A FRUIT vendor was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City.
Ritchie Diabordo, 36, died on the spot with gunshot wounds in the head and chest.
Police said illegal drug connections is being looked into as possible motive for the attack.
Police said Diabordo was walking along a road on his way to the market when he was gunned down past 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The assailants drove off, leaving the victim slumped on the ground.
The victim was declared dead when he was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).
