MABALACAT, Pampanga – An American national was arrested for allegedly trying to rape two women, including a minor, here.

Assistant Provincial Prosecutor Otto Macabulos recommended the continuous detention of Ruben Carlos Sandoval, 31, of 2064 Apartment 3, Mawaque Road in Barangay Mabiga. He was facing charges of attempted rape, acts of lasciviousness, and qualified trespass to dwelling. 

Gina (not her real name) sought the help of Edgardo Lacanlale and Rolando Bautista who went to the foreigner’s apartment. Once inside, they saw him trying to rape another girl. 

Sandoval tried to escape but was caught by Lacanlale and Bautista who turned him over to the police.
