THE local police are conducting investigation to determine the suspect behind the beheading of a farmer in an east coast village in Zamboanga City.

Beheaded was Mariano Guevarra, 60, a resident of Sitio Tumitus, Vitali village, 73 kilometers east of Zamboanga City, according to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO).

The police said the victim’s headless body was found around 9 a.m. on Saturday in a grassy place more or less 15 meters away from the crime scene.

The police said the victim was killed by still unidentified suspect, while he was tending the land of his neighbor.

Police Station 1 commander Senior Inspector Joel Tuttuh said the ZCPO is looking into all possible motives that would lead to the identity of the suspect. (Bong Garcia)
