MANILA, Philippines — An explosion rocked a police community precinct in Manila early Friday, damaging the establishment but no injuries were reported. 

Superintendent Remigio Sidanto, station 6 commander of the Manila Police District, said the explosion hit the Dagonoy PCP along Dagonoy Street in Sta. Ana, Manila at around 3 a.m. 

Police suspect a pillbox was used by the suspects. The impact damaged the precinct’s door. 

Sidanto suspects that the move was in retaliation against policemen who recently killed a suspected member of a criminal gang in the area. 

Police have already tightened security around the precinct as investigation continues.
