DAGUPAN City — After the shooting to death of a former broadcaster here, another shooting incident transpired early morning yesterday in Bgy. Bolosan.

Police Supt. Christopher Abrahano, Dagupan City Police Station officer-in-charge, identified the victims as Jimmy Edades, 49, and his daughter Camille, 26. The two are neighbors.

Abrahano said it was a case of attempted robbery.  He is optimistic that this case will be solved soonest as they already have a lead.

Investigation said that at about 2:30 a.m., Camille was awakened by the noise created by an unidentified person who had entered her house.

Through her cellular phone, she called up her father at the nearby house for assistance.

When he arrived, Jimmy was shot in the right leg. Camille was also shot by the suspect in the stomach. They are already declared out of danger.

Meanwhile, the family of former Bombo Radyo reporter Melanio Balolong had allegedly stopped cooperating with investigators.

Balolong was shot by a lone gunman several days ago while  tending his fishpond.

The police chief assured that despite this setback, they have intensified their efforts to identify the gunman and the motive behind the killing.
