A member of the Manila City Jail (MCJ) gang who had just been released from prison was killed and found dead in Tondo, Manila, Sunday night.
Alex Torres, 35, of No. 2816 Danganan St., Gagalangin, Tondo, sustained severe head injuries, apparently hit by a rock. He was found dead around 10 p.m. at the corner of Pag-asa and Cunanan Streets in Gagalangin.
His aunt Carolina Capiral, told the police that Torres may have been killed by someone who caused his incarceration and resented from being released from prison.
Meanwhile, an unidentified woman was found dead at the Estero Palanca in Quiapo, Manila, with five bullet wounds in the neck and different parts of the body.
The victim was described by the police as between 25 and 30 years old, about 5’2: tall and wearing black shorts and a black and white striped shirt. He body was found at the said estero located at the corner of Fraternal and Castillejos Streets in Arlegui, Quiapo at 6:45 a.m.
Police suspect that the killing may be drug-related.
