CAVITE City, Cavite — A former president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) here was gunned down at the city public market yesterday morning.

The victim, identified as Rodolfo Hilario Picache, alias Boyie Picache, 72, of Lopez Jaena St., Bgy. 30, Caridad, this city, died while undergoing treatment of gunshot wounds in the head and body at the Cavite City Hospital.

Police said the victim was attending his business inside the public market at 5:30 a.m. when the suspect, who was described as about 40 years old, wearing long sleeves light green shirt, arrived and shot the victim.

Police could not yet determine the motive behind the killing. They are still determining if the suspect is a hired killer because of his passion of shooting the victim several times before before the eyes of many people.  Celso C. Lidot
