Oscar Loncop, 27, was too drunk to realize what he was doing. He landed in jail for molesting his 10-year-old cousin in Sta. Mesa at dawn yesterday.

He told SPO1 Dolores Villegas that he missed his wife terribly and mistook his sleeping cousin Regina (real name withheld) as her.

“Akalo ko kasi misis ko ang natutulog, pinsan ko pala,” he said.

The victim, of 3677 Valenzuela St., Sta. Mesa, said she woke up at 2 a.m. with her naked cousin on top of her.

“Hinahalikan niya ako sa leeg at dibdib tapos hinubad po niya yung panty ko at kiniskis niya yung ari niya sa kin,” she said.

The girl did not lose courage. She fought off and kicked hard until she hit the suspect’s sex organ.    

She shouted for help and was heard by patrolling barangay councilor Roberto Cailan and barangay watchman Alexander Enriquez.

Police said the suspect’s wife passed away several months ago in Samar. He came to Manila to find a job and stayed in the victim’s house.

Loncop is facing charges of violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
