MALOLOS City — A 30-year-old driver died after he was mauled by three suspects while one of his attacker was also killed in Humel Heritage Subd., Bgy. Longos, Sunday morning.

A report to Bulacan police officer in charge Senior Supt. Joel Sabio Orduña by city police chief Supt. Dave Poklay identified the victim as Adrian Padilla, native of Caloocan City, and a resident of the subdivision.

Poklay identified one of the three suspects as Dectador Salem, a resident of the place.

A witness, identified as Christine Ken Agbao, told police that at 1:30 a.m., she saw the victim at a sari-sari store buying a pack of cigarette.

The suspects who were under the influence of liquor suddenly arrived and accused the victim of stealing their lighter.

A heated argument ensued but the victim decided to go home.

According to the victim’s wife, Joan Padilla, the suspects followed the victim. Salem climbed the fence and opened the gate for his cohorts.

The suspects then mauled the victim who  took a kitchen knife and stabbed Salem in the chest.

The two unidentified  suspects stabbed the victim repeatedly in the body before fleeing on foot.

Padilla and Salem were rushed to Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos City where they died while undergoing treatment.

Padilla’s body was brought to Eusebio Funeral Service in Caloocan City for autopsy while Salem’s was brought to Julo, Sulu.

A team from the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office recovered a kitchen knife with bloodstains and three pairs of slippers also with bloodstains.
