A taxi driver was found dead with a bullet wound in the head, inside the cab he was driving, in Sampaloc, Manila before dawn yesterday.

SPO3 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District homicide section said victim Gerwin Maribojoc, 47, of  11 E Dorado Dulo, Don Bosco, Parañaque City, was found slumped on the steering wheel of his cab, RYO taxi, with plate number  UVB-804.

Witness Jose Villegas, 60, a flowershop decorator and resident of Prudencio St., Sampaloc, Manila, said he was walking at around 3:30 a.m. when he noticed a man running out of a cab which was parked along Fajardo St.

When he came back after buying coffee, he saw the cab still there and out of curiosity, he checked on it and found the victim already dead.    Itchie G. Cabayan
