A draftsman from Jolo, Sulu was brutally killed inside a hotel room along Mayor Jaldon St., this city last Saturday.

The killing was discovered yesterday afternoon, a police report said yesterday.

The fatality was identified as Almunar Bandahala of Jolo, Sulu. His throat was slashed and his right arm bore hack wound.

A police report disclosed that a woman who identified herself as Miss Cruz had checked in at the hotel around 4 a.m. last Saturday. She was assigned at Room No. 209.

According to the hotel staff, Bandahala later arrived and proceeded to the room of Miss Cruz.

Yesterday afternoon, one of the room boys knocked at Room No. 209 to inform its occupant or occupants that it was checkout time. He continued knocking the door, but no one was answering.

Following hotel policy, the room boy reported the unusual situation to the management, which decided to open the room using a master key. Everybody was terrified or shocked to see Bandahala lying in a pool of blood near the door.

Police theorized that Bandahala was dead for more than 24 hours.

Investigators suspected that Miss Cruz was also wounded based on the blood stains found in the bed.

Miss Cruz could not be found when the gory scene was discovered.

Investigators also believe that Cruz had another companion in the room, aside from Bandahala.

Policemen of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) lifted some fingerprints from the room.
