A DESPONDENT MAN who had lost his wife tied a knife to his right hand and attacked a group of security guards on Monday afternoon at North Harbor, Manila.

PO3 Joseph Kabigting of the Manila Police District (MPD) homicide section described the still unidentified amok as between 30 and 40 years old, 5’4” in height and with curly hair. He also bore a flower tattoo with the name “Rose” on his right shoulder.

Kabigting said the man was taken to Ospital ng Maynila for multiple gunshot wounds. Doctors, however, declared him dead on arrival.

According to the police official, security guard Edmar Banglos and two of his colleagues accosted the man for carrying a knife inside a restricted area of the Manila International Container Port at around 3:15 p.m.

The man, however, shouted at them in Filipino, “My life is worthless. My wife is gone. I do not care if you have guns, let’s fight.”
