THE body of a 27-year-old man was found floating near a shipyard in barangay Opao, Mandaue City .
The fatality identified as Titi Perosa, a resident of barangay Looc, Mandaue, bore a gunshot wound in the head.
Police said Cal Entrampas, security guard of MB Shipyard, found the body around 6 a.m. yesterday.
The fatality was identified by his sister Ruping Perosa, said PO2 Pasaylo Bandolon.
After the discovery of the body, Bandolon said they contacted Perosa, who had reported her brother’s disappearance to the Opao Police Station last Saturday.
Police said it was possible that Perosa was shot when he entered the shipyard.
The Investigative and Detective Management Branch of the Mandaue City Police Office will conduct further investigation to identify the assailant and determine the motive of the shooting. /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
