Customers stab to death videoke bar owner

CEBU, Philippines – An owner of a videoke bar was stabbed dead by his alleged drunk customers around 8 p.m. last Saturday in Barangay Cagcagan, Poro, Camotes Island.
The fatality was identified as Pablito Argallon, 65, married, and resident of the place while the suspects are Elfe Pelnos Donasco, 32, married and his two alleged back ups, Euclito Cartagena, 23, single, and Aldin Caya, 18, and are all residents of Lower, Kantaw-ang, Poro.
Initial investigation showed that the suspects were drinking intoxicating liquor while singing inside the videoke bar when a heated argument suddenly ensued between the victim and the suspects.
On the course of the altercation, Donasco allegedly suddenly stabbed the victim with a knife hitting him on the chest.
The victim, even if already bleeding, still managed to run towards his house nearby and shouted for help but slumped to the ground upon reaching the house.
He was rushed by his family to the Ricardo Maningo Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The suspects, on the other hand, fled right away from the area.
Cartagena and Caya, who allegedly served as look outs during the incident, were arrested by police during hot pursuit operation while the main suspect, Donasco, remains at large.
The arrested suspects are now temporarily detained at the police station’s stockade while waiting for the appropriate charges to be filed against them today.
In a separate incident, a man was stabbed by his neighbor last Saturday night along Abellana Street, Barangay Suba, Cebu City.
The victim was Elvis Las Pinas, 38, while the suspects were identified as Jefferson Leoligno, of legal age, and a certain “John-John” all are residents of the area.
Police said that prior to the incident, the victim was playing mahjong at his neighbor’s house on Magsaysay Street when the two suspects called and brought him to Abellana Street.
But while they were allegedly walking on the side of the road, the two suspects suddenly attacked the victim and stabbed him several times.
Luckily, the victim was able to run and managed to board a taxi cab which brought him to the Cebu City Medical Center for treatment of the stab wounds he sustained on the left head, right shoulder and right arm.
