A weekend police raid in Caloocan City yielded a cache of firearms along with several allegedly stolen motorcycles.

At least 11 people were arrested during the raid at Barangay 188 Phase 12 in the city’s Tala area, according to a report on “Balitanghali.”

Seized by city police and Special Weapons and Tactics teams during the raid were M-16 rifles, two shotguns, three revolvers, a 9-mm pistol, and a cal-.45 pistol.

Seized as well were 34 motorcycles, some of them without license plates and believed to have been stolen and used in other crimes.

The police likewise seized several electronic gambling machines.

Some of those arrested had outstanding arrest warrants, while many of the recovered vehicles had no license plates, the report said.

Police believed the area was used as a hideout by criminal syndicates. — DVM, GMA News
