AUTHORITIES are hunting down two male suspects who robbed a mini-grocery and killed its security guard in Quezon City.

Inspector Elmer Monsalve, chief of the homicide investigation section of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), said that they have the names of the suspected robbers involved in the heist in Novaliches on the afternoon of March 6.

Monsalve noted that the establishment has a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage of the robbery but only showed the top of the heads of the suspect. However, some witnesses have pointed the two suspects in its rogue gallery.

The incident happened 3:55 p.m. of March 6, security guard Romeo Roxas, 53, was accompanying Grace Marcial who was delivering a cash box containing P41,300 of the earnings of the Grocer Minimart at the main office located along Ramirez St., Barangay Nova Proper when the suspects suddenly appeared behind him at the gate.    Melnie Ragasa
