A POLICEMAN was seriously wounded after two unidentified motorcycle-riding men peppered him with bullets in Caloocan City Tuesday.

As of press time yesterday, PO3 Edgardo Ignas, 49, of Block 32, Phase 12, Tala, Caloocan City, was still under close watch at the FEU Hospital. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

Case officer PO3 Joselito Barredo said Ignas was on his way to work and had just stepped out of his house when shot. 

Despite his injury, the policeman managed to run back to his house while the suspects escaped.
