The fatality was identified as SPO1 Pendatun Jahama, 37, married. He was assigned at the Panglima Sugala Police Station in Batu-Batu, Tawi-Tawi. Wounded was Jan Abdurahim, 50, a businessman of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

A police report disclosed that Jahama and Abdurahim had just come out of KFC Restaurant around 7:40 p.m. While they walking near 3rd Cup CoffeeShop, two men riding on a skeleton type XRM motorcycle appeared and the backrider opened fire on them using a .45 caliber pistol.

Jahama sustained multiple bullet wounds in the different parts of the body and died on the spot, while Abdurahim was hot in the right forearm and was taken to the Western Mindanao Medical Center for treatment.

The gunmen sped away after the incident.

Police were looking into personal dispute as the motive behind the incident.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo has directed his men to dig deeper into the case.
